Then I found one article that says to keep the vehicle's windows open for city driving but to use the AC while on the highways because having the windows open while driving at high speeds causes drag which lessens fuel economy. Who's right? Who's wrong? Who automobliees? Does it lower gas consumption? No, probably not!

The best genuine solution to improve your MPG, with gasoline prices in the $3-4.50 range up and down over the last year or so is to sever your umbilical cord... the one that connects you to the gasoline pump and drop your chains of slavery to the oil companies and....

Convert to a hydrogen engine!
How would it be you never needed to purchase another gallon of gas again?
Convert your gas engine to hydrogen.
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you can expect reduced gas consumption of up to 30% maybe more.
If you do this and also add acetone to your gas tank (which will save you another 25% or so) then you will have reduced your gas consumption by a combined 50%! Put in about 2-3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of gas and less gas will vaporize and you improve your MPG by 25% or more.
If you do a full gas to hydrogen conversion then you will never have to purchase another gallon of gas for the rest of your life. It is very simple to do, costs hardly anything, helps the environment and you will have the pleasure of knowing that you are conserving resources instead of consuming more than your fair share.
